There are several benefits to using synthetic winch rope.
If your winch rope breaks, the energy released is much less than that of steel
cable. It is also 1/7th the weight and softer than steel cable, reducing the
chances of injury. Winch Rope has no memory, which means no flat spots or
kinks. It also floats on water, which is very useful for people who do a lot of
water recoveries. "Bird Nesting" is no longer an issue because the winch rope
can wind back on itself and dig back into itself. Winch Rope is smooth with no
burrs, reducing the chance of cuts and injuries. Synthetic winch rope is color
coded and it can be made to any length to fit your needs.
