The votes have been tallied, and the results are in. The team at Zip’s is proud to showcase last year’s winners in the ZIPSYS Truck Contest. Eligible entries were submitted online by their owners in four truck classes. For the People’s Pick Awards, fans voted online and through Facebook, while the sales staff at Zip’s selected the Zip’s Pick Award winners in each category. Scroll down to see who won.

Zip’s Pick - Winner

Fifelski Towing & Recovery Service from Dorr, MI, won the the Zip’s Pick Award for their 2022 Ford F600 Century 10 Series car carrier. Sold by sales consultant Jon Buller, the rollback features a 19.5' aluminum bed with blue bed rails to complement the truck’s pylon and detail package.

SRD Auto Repair from Glyndon, MN, placed first in the Car Carrier Class in the People’s Pick category. Sold by sales consultant Brian McDermott, their 2024 International MV Century 12 Series LCG entry was a fan favorite with its 21.5' aluminum bed and coordinating green accents on the bed rails and graphics package.

Aaron Lippert’s customer, Star Towing and Recovery from Monroe, MI, placed second in the Car Carrier division for the People’s Pick Award. Reflecting the line of work they’re in, the chain wrap on this two-tone, blacked out 2023 International MV Century 12 Series steel rollback garnered plenty of votes from Zip’s followers.

Third place for the People’s Pick Award in the Car Carrier Class went to Hodges Garage and Towing of Clover, SC, a customer of sales consultant Eric Albertson. Their 2023 Freightliner M2 features a Century 12 Series LCG steel bed.

Zip’s Pick - Winner

This Vulcan V24 light duty wrecker was built for Joey’s Towing & Recovery from Toledo, OH, and sold by sales consultant John Bull. Sporting a checkered aluminum modular body, the 2022 Ford F550 Supercab placed first in the Light & Medium Duty class, as voted on by the sales department at Zip’s.

  • White painted wrecker body with blue painted wrecker boom, wheel lift and pylon.
  • Trux glow strip lighting for front wheel wells.
  • Maxxima dual color marker lights across body sides, pylon sides, on front fenders and under chassis doors.

Sold by sales consultant Eric Albertson, this 2022 Ram Chevron 408V Renegade belongs to Lil Pete’s Automotive in Mahopac, NY, and garnered the most votes from the fans in the Light & Medium Duty Class. With custom under glow lighting, it’s easy to see why, especially at night.

Joey’s Towing & Recovery backed up their Zip’s Pick Award with a Second Place finish in the People’s Pick category. This Jon Bull special features plenty of customization, including color-matched fender flares, lower front valance, pylon, boom and wheel lift.

Another winner sold by Jon Bull, this star-spangled Century 312 belongs to P.J.’s Towing in Lansing, MI. This light duty entry came in third in the People’s Pick tally. Besides a patriotic wrap, this Ford features In The Ditch dollies and a SafeAll Traffic Commander.

SAS Towing from Liberty Hill, TX, won the top two categories in the Heavy Duty Wrecker Class in the 2023 ZIPSYS Truck Contest. Their 2023 Peterbilt Century 9055XL was selected by the sales consultants as the Zip’s Pick winner, and fans voted it into First Place in the People’s Pick category.

  • Center section painted matte gray.
  • Inside body sides painted matte gray with white and black splatter.
  • Trux amber/pink marker lights on the sides of the wrecker body.

Everything is in its place with this show stopper.

Second Place in the People’s Pick category for the Heavy Duty Wrecker Class went to Gerster Triple E Towing & Repair in Davenport Center, NY. Also sold by sales consultant Trent Russler, this 2022 Kenworth W900 Century 9055T XL integrated wrecker includes a tri-axle rear end with an 80,000-lb. Low Rider Underlift.

Taking home Third Place in the People’s Pick category for Heavy Duty Wreckers in the 2023 ZIPSYS Truck Contest was Jerry’s Towing & Recovery out of White Cloud, MI. Sold by sales consultant Aaron Lippert, their 2022 Peterbilt 389 Century 5130 Heavy Duty Wrecker was recognized for their graphics design, lighting package and overall custom design.

Zip’s Pick - Winner

The sales staff at Zip’s was so impressed by this Century 1150S Rotator that they named it the Zip’s Pick winner in the 2023 ZIPSYS Truck Contest. Sold by sales consultant LeRoy Gossling, the 2023 Kenworth T880H is owned by Mike’s Towing from Columbus, NE, and features—among other custom touches—a constellation of accent lighting.

This Century 1150S Rotator from Chima’s Tow in Sacramento, CA, winched itself into First Place, thanks to fan voting in the People’s Pick Award category. Sold by sales consultant Eric Albertson, the 2023 tri-axle, twin-steer Kenworth W990 is painted in the company’s signature red-and-white colors, making it also a personal favorite of owner operator Iran Chima.

Fans of this Century 1150S Rotator from Dodson and Son’s Road Service in Deale, MD, like things spicy. With its hot habanero orange accents, the 2023 Peterbilt 389 tri-axle placed second in the People’s Pick Award for Rotators. Dodson worked with sales consultant Brian McDermott to feature contrast paint on the inner boom, under lift, stiff legs as well as a custom paint splatter texture inside the toolboxes.

Colorado’s Mountain Recovery finished third in the People’s Pick category for Rotators. Sold by LeRoy Gossling, this 2023 Kenworth 880 Century 1150S Rotator is adequately equipped to handle the steep terrain of the Rocky Mountains between Vail Pass and Eisenhower Tunnel.
