Zip’s Remote Repair and Warranty Procedure.
Let's diagnose the problem: Body or Chassis Issue?
Is it a Body issue?
Zip’s is equipped to resolve any issue that arises with your equipment and can process the warranty promptly. Please follow the steps below to move forward with the repair and warranty procedure.
Is it a Chassis issue?
If a repair issue arises with the truck chassis and not the body, your respective local franchised truck dealer will perform the repair and process the warranty accordingly.
Keep in mind, if you are not happy with your local truck dealer’s diagnosis of the repair, inefficient service or warranty approval — we can find help! Zip’s has relationships with National Service Support Teams with Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, International, Hino, Ford and Ram that can resolve many issues that may arise with your local dealer and your truck chassis.
Steps for our Remote Repair & Warranty Procedure for Body Issues:
- 1 Communicate to us that your truck is down.
Call us at 800-222-6047. Text us at 641-394-3166. Fill out a form here. It is important to communicate the issue before beginning the repair on your own. Please allow Zip’s to help from the get-go so we can efficiently solve the problem and approve potential warranty repairs.
- 2 Customer Service Expert Will Assist You
Once the body issue is diagnosed, one of our service experts will guide you through a conversation to confirm the proper repair of the issue at hand.
Is your local repair shop servicing the truck?
Zip’s can speak directly with your local shop to explain the issue at hand to ensure an expedited and quality repair. We simply need the shop’s contact name, address, number and email.
Are specialty parts needed?
Zip’s has the largest repair part inventory in the country and will ship the parts right away.
- 3 Repair & Warranty Approval
Prior to the repair, Zip’s will need to qualify and approve any work done so warranty credit can be applied.

- 4 Perform the Repair & Receive Compensation
Any labor costs incurred and approved will be reimbursed directly to you or your local repair facility in a timely manner.
No need to bring your truck back to Zip’s.
Whether it’s over the phone, via text or through email, our accomplished truck service team will work firsthand with you, your in-house mechanic or trusted local repair shop to diagnose the problem. Next, we will adequately estimate the labor involved, talk you through the repair and, if needed, directly ship the right repair parts to get you back up and running as quickly as possible.

Pre-Owned Trucks
Unfortunately, Zip’s does NOT provide warranty coverage on any pre-owned truck in which the factory warranty has expired. However, our same expert staff can guide you through the repair process and get you back on the road — just as if it were a new truck!
Let us know the issue, and we can diagnose the problem, provide you with proper replacement parts and guide you through the repair to get your truck up and running. If you’re close enough to drive to one of our locations, we can get you scheduled right away. Breakdowns scenarios take precedent in our shop!
