Read about Chuck the Little Tow Truck in this first edition children's book authored by experienced tow operator Briar Roberts from northern Indiana. This 22-page hardcover book is the first entry in Roberts' Tow Family Series and was written to promote tow operator safety and to inspire the next generation of tow truck drivers.
Chuck the Little Tow Truck tells the story of Chuck, a 12-ton light-duty wrecker, and his dad, Tator, a heavy-duty rotator. Follow along as this father-and-son team help recover vehicles which have gone off the road, including a semi named Sami which slid off the side of Brake Chamber Mountain.
According to the Author Page, Roberts, an Air Force veteran, has been active in the towing industry since 2017 and "wouldn't trade it for anything." He is also a husband and father and wanted to not only inspire kids but also bring attention to the dangers tow operators face every day making their living out on the side of the road.
"I wrote this book to give a big thanks to the men, women and their families in the towing community," Roberts wrote in his foreward. "We often put our lives on the line to help those in need, and I hope this book brings joy and awareness to the kids and the parents who read it. I want to inspire people to slow down and move over for all emergency vehicles and personnel."
