GoJak Heavy Duty Dollies

Bigger is better. GoJak has rolled out two different capacities in their Heavy-Duty Dolly series. Model No. G7016 offers a vehicle load capacity of 7,000 lbs. for larger passenger vehicles, while Model No. G9516 is an industry-leading design for heavier SUVs, EVs, cargo vans and dually pickup trucks. Sold individually, these self-loading automotive dollies are designed for professional use in towing, body shops, impound lots and service bays. Slide the dollies around each vehicle wheel and lift the tires off the ground with a single, hands-free foot pedal. Featuring nylon swivel casters, these dollies can move a vehicle in any direction and work best for surface compatibility on smooth, hard surfaces. Use only as directed and within each dolly’s rated capacity. GoJak dollies are manufactured by Zendex Tool Corp. and are made in the U.S.A. Learn more below.

How it Works

Step 1: Position

Roll the unlatched dolly under the vehicle from the side and center the heavy-duty steel rollers directly around the tire tread.

Step 2: Engage

Pull the directional lock pin on the non-skid foot pedal to set the rugged internal ratchet mechanism into lifting mode.

Step 3: Lift

Depress the foot pedal repeatedly. The mechanical bi-directional ratchet squeezes the steel rollers together, smoothly lifting the tire off the floor in seconds.

Step 4: Lower

Flip the directional release lever down and tap the foot pedal to disengage the ratchet, allowing the vehicle tire to lower gently back to the ground.

GoJak Dollies

GoJak Dollies are the solution to your automobile positioning problems. GoJaks operate on the principle of a quick action, bi-directional, double-pawl ratchet. Mechanical leverage applied to the foot pedal progressively "squeezes" the vehicle tire between the rollers until the tire lifts smoothly off the ground. The rollers touch only the tire and no contact is made with the vehicles frame or undercarriage. The low center of gravity after lifting helps make these dollies safe and stable in use. The pure mechanical design eliminates the need for electric power, compressed air, or slow hydraulics.

Why Choose Self Loading Wheel Dollies

Self loading wheel dollies make moving a vehicle far easier, especially in shops, storage facilities, or on recovery jobs. A wheel dolly or self-loading wheel dolly lets you slide under a wheel, lift the wheel using a foot lever, and reposition the vehicle with minimal effort. When you need to move vehicles with locked or turned wheels, or in tight spaces, auto positioning dollies become critical. Brands like GoJak, WreckRoller, and REDiJack lead the way with durable designs built to handle towing, collision repair, and storage applications.

Shopping Guide: Choosing the Right Self Loading Wheel Dolly

  1. Load Capacity & Wheel/Tire Size
Check the maximum load rating and whether the dollies can accommodate different tire widths and diameters. Some models are designed for light compact cars, others for SUVs or trucks.
  2. Lever Type & Handedness
Some dollies are left- or right-handed, depending on where the foot lever will sit relative to the wheel. Ensure you pick a model that matches your workspace layout to avoid awkward positioning.
  3. Roller / Roller Material & Frame Construction
Rollers and frame design matter a lot. Steel frames, powder-coated finish, sealed bearings, and high quality steel or nylon rollers help reduce wear and allow smoother operation.
  4. Maneuverability & Surface Compatibility
Look for swivel casters that work on concrete, asphalt, or slightly uneven surfaces. Properly sized casters help reduce resistance and make positioning a vehicle easier.
  5. Applications & Use Cases
  • Towing & recovery: moving vehicles off the road or onto rollback trucks.
  • Collision shops: repositioning damaged or non-rollable vehicles.
  • Storage or showroom: shifting vehicles without driving them.

FAQ: Automotive Dollies

What exactly is a self-loading wheel dolly and how does it differ from regular wheel dollies?
A self-loading wheel dolly is designed so you can slide it under a wheel and lift the wheel using a foot lever, allowing the wheel to be suspended and the vehicle moved freely. Regular wheel dollies may require more manual lifting or external jacks.

Can these dollies handle vehicles with locked wheels or turned tires?
Yes. Many GoJak, WreckRoller, and REDiJack models are built specifically to accommodate tires that won’t roll, allowing you to slide in the dollies and then leverage to lift and move without stressing locked components.

Are there left-handed or right-handed versions of self loading wheel dollies, and does it matter?
Yes. Depending on your workspace or the orientation of the vehicle, you may prefer a dolly with the foot lever on one side or the other. Using the correct side avoids awkward leverage and potential safety hazards.

What size roller / tire width compatibility should I look for?
Choose a dolly that fits the widest tires you plan to use. If you work with SUVs or trucks, check for models that support larger diameter and wider tread tires. Higher capacity wheels and strong frames help maintain stability.
