AW Direct HD Rear Tow Kit - U-Bolt

Find everything you need to complete a rear tow on a heavy-duty truck with this AW Direct HD Rear Tow Kit. Designed primarily for trucks with air bag suspensions, this package includes a pair of u-bolt lifting attachments to pick from the truck s spring saddles. Also included are a pair of Ultimate Axle Chains to secure the drive axles and a pair of tie-down straps to fasten the chassis to the underlift. Lastly, a cam-style steering wheel lock prevents the front wheels from turning while under tow. See below for kit components and individual part numbers.

Every heavy-duty tow operator should own a pair of these U-Bolt Lifting Attachments from AW Direct. The high-carbon steel attachments are designed for faster and easier rear hook-ups on medium- and heavy-duty trucks. The beveled receiver acts as a funnel to guide the U-bolt and nut from the spring saddle onto the fork. The extra height of 5 extender allows you to stay clear of air brake and air suspension parts. The shaft is three inches tall and has a diameter of 2 . The diameter of the beveled guide on the attachment is 1-7/8.


(2) B/A Ultimate Axle Chain with 8" J/Grab/Slip Hooks - #11-AC3S
This grade 70 Ultimate Axle Chain is 5/16" x 3' and comes with a grab hook and slip hook on one end and an 8" j-hook on the other end. The Ultimate Axle Chains allow you to quickly and easily chain up forward axles of tractors when performing a rear tow.

To use, first wrap the strap around the wrecker's underreach and the casualty's front axle, then pass the loose end of the strap through the ratchet and tighten.
