Description

Miller Industries has improved the design of its offset chain hook adapter by adding a second pin for stability and reinforcing the chain hook block for additional strength. This updated version now slides into two holes on a heavy-duty fork holder found on 5" x 5" crossbars on Century, Vulcan and Holmes underreaches.

Like the original, this V2 block still features a welded grab hook on the side of the adapter block. The offset design provides extra clearance for underreach pivots during backing maneuvers as well as turns and mergers while in traffic. To prevent side stress on the grab hook, it is important to keep the chain hook in line with the towing chain point on the casualty.

Besides reinforcement, the welded support bracket also serves as a handle grip for ease of adapter installation and removal. The welded steel adapter is powder coated for longevity and easy identification in a tool box.
