Container Slings from RimSling can be used in a variety of ways to move, load and organize shipping containers around a dock, in a storage facility or between customers. The sling's flexible, narrow profile can slip through the container's corner pocket, and the 6" spliced eyes can be brought back together for a basket lift of up to 37,040 lbs. A special rubberized guard is also available to slide to the lift point to prevent unnecessary wear and stress to the sling.

At 7/8" diameter, RimSling's braided synthetic Container Slings are larger and stronger than the band's four sizes of Recovery Slings. Despite being larger, they are just as lightweight and just as versatile. Besides moving and lifting shipping containers, these robust 6' slings can be used on rigging, overhead lifting and freight handling jobs as well. They are so light that they will float in water, making them great for water recoveries.

In addition to a basket lift, Container Slings can also be used in a vertical or choker configuration with the Working Load Limit for each at 18,250 lbs. and 14,816 lbs., respectively. These slings can lift containers from the top or pull them from the bottom, depending on the loaded contents and any weight considerations. They can also be used to slide containers from the side when overhead clearance is a concern. These slings perform much better than foundry hooks, which can become tip loaded.

Featuring a Safety Factor of 5:1, RimSling's high-performance Container Slings are made from tough plasma fibers and, as such, can resist water, chemicals and sunlight. While consistently strong and durable, each sling should be inspected prior to use, and defects can be easily identified for repair or replacement. The braided strength of these slings means low stretch and virtually no recoil.
