How to mount a hose reel on your truck
A hose reel can be a great addition to your service truck and the best way to keep your hoses organized and out of the way. Watch this video to see how to tuck a reel inside your toolbox so it's still accessible but not taking up much space. First, use the mounting bracket as a pattern to create an aluminum backing plate, as most toolbox walls cannot the support the weight of a loaded reel. Then use the backing plate as a guide to drill holes in the box. Clean up the shavings and insert bolts from bottom to attach your reel bracket. Please note this toolbox is not installed on a truck and is positioned on its back for demonstration purposes.
