These Pan Pillows are a rock solid product that promise to make every tow operator's life much simpler and unbelievably safer. No longer will you have to worry about oil pan damage and this we guarantee. The Pan Pillow is an inflatable bladder which attaches to your wheel lift, and once inflated, creates a durable but flexible barrier between the wheel lift, and the undercarriage of the towed vehicle. From the first time you use the Pan Pillow, you'll wonder why something so simple, but amazingly effective, took so long to create. These Pan Pillows come in various sizes to accommodate all models of wheel lifts. If we don't have the right size call into our parts department and we can get custom Pan Pillow just for your rig. These Pan Pillows have a working load limit of 20 PSI. For use in oil pan protection you will need to use approximately 5 PSI.
The Oil Pan Pillow should never be used without the safety cable. In early testing, video footage showed that with substantial impact from a bump, the legs folded up completely sideways. Under inflation can also lead to the Oil Pan Pillow to shift and eventually detach from the wheel lift. See Instructions.
The Oil Pan Pillow comes with a 2 feet long 250 psi urethane hose. You can order with or without the extra coating which is a 10 inch wide, 2 feet long, 1/8 inch thick sheet of urethane attached to the wear side. There are 2 metal valve stems, one with a valve and one without, to fill and drain. The valve stem caps have a rubber washer which seals the valve stem without a valve. The legs are inch solid aluminum rod, bent to the appropriate size. On the 8, 9, and 12 inch spread, the legs are riveted directly to the tube. On the 14, 16, and 17 inch spread the legs are attached to a 3x6 inch plate extending the legs out to the required width and allowing the Oil Pan Pillow to form to its natural shape. The ends are sealed together with a 1 inch wide x 1/8 inch thick aluminum flat bar and 2 part steel rivets. There is a safety cable that attaches from one leg to the other under the wheel lift, once installed. Inflate, tilt level and your off to a worry free tow. The Oil Pan Pillow also comes with instructions, additional safety cable, valve for valve stem, valve stem cap and a 1 1/4 inch split key ring.
The term "Coated" refers to the additional 1/8" urethane sheet added to the wear side of the Oil Pan Pillow. The tube comes with a urethane coating from the manufacturer. The extra sheet offers added protection. Fit:
