SafeAll Super Sleeve Universal L-Arm Protector

Extend the life of your wheel lift’s L-Arms with these protective steel sleeves from SafeAll. Made from 3/16" thick tubing, these sleeves slip over the existing 2" square arms. There are two different lengths. The 9” is made for the Chevron Auto Grip Claw. The 9" length accounts for the curved design of this particular auto loading wheel lift. The 20” is a universal sleeve. These universal sleeves slip over traditional 2" square wheel retainers and autoloaders found on several brands of Miller and Jerr-Dan car carriers and light-duty wreckers.

Powder-coated black, these sleeves preserve the life of the wrecker’s factory-installed L-Arms by absorbing the damage caused from scraping on the ground during the vehicle hook-up process. They also guard against changes in road conditions, including potholes, uneven surfaces, ice build-up and other imperfections.

These thick, durable sleeves install quickly and easily by sliding over the existing L-Arm. They are held in place by tightening a 5/8" set screw and can be adjusted to accommodate different wheel widths. They can also be used to overlay existing L-Arm damage. A welded ring on the end allows for a wheel strap hook.

These protective sleeves provide a safer alternative to welding wear bars and plates on the underside of the original L-Arms. The heat produced during the welding process can weaken the existing metal tube and lead to premature failure. For even longer use, these tubes can be rotated as individual sides wear out. They can also be used to overlay existing L-Arm damage.
